APACS - the UK payments association

UK Payment Schemes

From its establishment in 1985, the core role of APACS was to manage the principal UK payment clearing systems through the three separate clearing companies — Bacs, CHAPS and Cheque and Credit — and to maintain and enhance their operational efficiency and continued integrity.
