What is being done to stop phishing?

The banking industry is working very closely with a number of partners in the UK and overseas, such as the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), Internet service providers and software companies to clamp down on the phishing attacks. However everyone, especially ordinary web users, need to be aware of these threats and ensure that they take steps to protect themselves and their computers. Only by working together can we defeat the criminals.
