The Banking Codes
The Banking and Business Banking Codes are voluntary codes that set standards of good banking practice for banks and building societies to follow when they are dealing with personal or business customers in the United Kingdom. As voluntary codes, they allow competition and market forces to work to encourage higher standards for the benefit of customers.
The 2008 Codes were launched on 31 March 2008 and the documents can be downloaded by following the links on the right of this page.
