The UK Cheque Guarantee Card & Component Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme is intended to maintain card and component production security standards and prevent production of sub-standard or counterfeit cards and/or components.

A company wishing to produce cheque guarantee cards or components is required to be accredited by the UK Domestic Cheque Guarantee Card Scheme. Such accreditation is given on the basis that the company possess the necessary experience in the production of components or laminated plastic cards, the necessary technical equipment and special machinery, as well as effective security and control facilities.
